Method

A three-phase path, with a decision at every step.

The T1–T2–T3 method structures entry into the U.S. market as a sequence of checkpoints. Each phase produces evidence; each transition requires a deliberate decision before further resources are committed.

ITALY

First, understand the company’s potential.

Then, test demand, channel and positioning.

The three phases

T1 · Validate

Market Intelligence & Validation

Understand before you invest.

An analysis of the real market, the competition, channel structure, regulatory requirements and price positioning. The phase closes with a reasoned recommendation: Go or No-Go.

  • Sizing and segmentation of the addressable market
  • Competitive analysis and channel structure
  • Market-access, compliance and logistics requirements
  • Price and margin sustainability

Go / No-Go decision

T2 · Position

Go-to-Market Positioning & Strategy

Position before you sell.

Translating the company’s value into positioning that is credible to the American buyer, choosing the channel, building the sales tools and making the first market contacts.

  • Positioning and messaging for the U.S. buyer
  • Channel strategy: direct, sales agent, distributor, OEM
  • Sales tools and commercial materials
  • First market engagement and testing of assumptions

Positioning validated in the field

T3 · Develop

Active Market Development

From strategy to market.

Active business development: building the pipeline, managing prospects and key accounts, negotiations, and selecting and coordinating sales agents and distributors.

  • Pipeline building and management
  • Key accounts and negotiations
  • Selection and coordination of agents and distributors
  • Ongoing market presence

Structured commercial presence

Phase transitions are not formalities.

At the close of T1, the question is not “how do we enter” but “should we enter.” If the evidence does not support the investment, the recommendation is No-Go and the process stops there.

At the close of T2, the positioning is tested in the field, with real counterparts, before any commercial structure is built.

T3 begins only when there is a credible offer, a coherent channel and a concrete reason why an American buyer should switch suppliers.
